A youth exchange entitled “Back to our roots” brings together 30 young people aged 18 to 30 of Estonian origin: 20 living abroad and 10 from Estonia; the program is to take place from September 11 to 22, 2022, the application the deadline is July 3.

The youth exchange is organized by the organization called Brotherhood of Adventurerscoordinated by the Estonian Youth Work Center and funded by the Compatriots Program of the Estonian Ministry of Education and Research.

The goal of all activities is to bridge the gap between an expat and their Estonian roots. The program aims to introduce Estonian history and cultural heritage to young Estonians living abroad; teach participants the Estonian language in the non-formal learning environment; provide information on work and study opportunities in Estonia; provide an overview of the Estonian governance system. It also aims to create a network for young people of Estonian origin.

The program includes various activities across Estonia.

Selected participants would have all their costs in Estonia covered.
