Dubai: Pakistani expats living in the United Arab Emirates celebrate their country’s 75th anniversary today, sending their best wishes and prayers for their country to prosper and grow in the global economy.

Khalid Hussain Chaudhry, President of Pakistan Social Centre, Sharjah, said: “My heartfelt congratulations to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and its citizens on the occasion of the 75th anniversary; a day of dedication and pride for the people of Pakistan to be one of the bravest nations in the world, and I am proud to be part of this beautiful nation.

He added: “Although it is a beautiful day for all Pakistanis, Independence Day is an incredible opportunity to remind us how much our freedom fighters fought, shed their blood and tears for make our dreams come true”.

Pakistan Social Center Sharjah maintains the tradition of bringing the community together by organizing several events throughout August including sports competitions, cultural activities, Azaadi Mushaira (Freedom Poetic Symposium), flag hoisting and free medical examinations .
