Hanoi (VNA) – A Mozambican official expressed a desire to continue promoting practical cooperation with Vietnam at a recent ceremony marking Vietnam’s National Day in Maputo.

The ceremony was co-hosted by the Vietnamese Embassy and the expatriate community in Mozambique.

In her speech, Mozambican Minister of Education and Human Development Carmelita Rita Namashulua said the government and people of Mozambique appreciate Vietnam’s practical collaboration and support in agriculture, health, education and telecommunications in recent years.

She called on Vietnamese companies to invest more in mozambiquemineral extraction and agroforestry development projects and stimulate bilateral trade.

Vietnamese Ambassador Pham Hoang Kim said Vietnam valued and wanted to strengthen its traditional friendship and multifaceted practical cooperation with Mozambique, especially in the exchange of experts, investment in telecommunications, trade, agriculture, education and exploitation of natural resources .

Vietnam’s 77th National Day (September 2, 1945-2022) was also celebrated by the Vietnam Embassy in Swisswith a cultural day and a seminar on sustainable economic development organized as part of the Gwand 2022 Lucerne Sustainable Festival from September 1 to 3.

The cultural event featured Vietnamese culinary delights and performances of kylin-lion dance and traditional Vietnamese martial arts. In addition, it offered visitors a fashion show of ‘ao dai’ (traditional Vietnamese long dress) and other traditional costumes by designer La Pham./.
