I am planning to submit my application for ILR tonight but wanted to check that everything is in order. It’s still nerve-wracking, so I’d really appreciate if someone else could let me know if I’m missing anything critical. We use savings, so the finance section is thankfully short.

FLR(M) Receipt: 31 Jan 2020
Will ask for ILR(M): July 6, 2022 (5 years less 27 days)

Documents I will include (categories to be adjusted as needed):

APPLICANT

  • Applicant passport (all pages)
  • Applicant’s BRP Card
  • Signed ‘consent to audit’ form 1 (applicant)

PARTNER (SPONSOR):

  • Sponsor a UK passport (all pages)
  • signed sponsor statement
  • Signed ‘consent to audit’ form 2 (sponsor)

RELATIONSHIP:

  • Marriage certificate (2005)
  • Child birth certificate (2007)
  • Divorce certificate (sponsor’s previous marriage, 2000)

LODGING:

  • Cadastral document showing ownership of the house (purchased jointly in 2001)
  • Council tax documents for 3 years (these are already part of the “correspondence”, should I duplicate them here?)

FINANCES (PARTNER):

  • 7 month bank statement for the 7 month period (Dec 03, 2021 – Jul 03, 2022)
  • Declaration by the sponsor of the source(s) of cash savings

ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS and LIFE in the UK:

  • No need for language exam (US passport)
  • Screenshot of the Life in the UK test result (pass) (the code is already entered in the app)
