Many Egyptian expats in Germany are seen gathering to welcome Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, who is visiting Berlin on Sunday.

Dozens of members of Berlin’s Egyptian community gathered in the streets, carrying Egyptian flags, balloons and loudspeakers to express their support and love for the Egyptian president.

It should be mentioned that, Sisi arrived in the German city of Berlin today, Sunday at the invitation of the German Chancellor “Olaf Schulz” to participate in the activities of the “Petersburg Climate Dialogue” tomorrow, Monday, July 18, under the co-chairmanship of Egypt and Germany.

Bassam Rady, the official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, said that the “Petersburg Dialogue” is one of the important steps before the next session of the world climate summit in Sharm el-Sheikh next November, because it represents an opportunity for consultation and coordination of a large group of countries active in efforts to combat climate change.

“Egypt’s co-chairmanship of this important forum represents an appreciation of its vital role, under the leadership of the President, in the climate change negotiations over the past few years,” Rady added.

During this visit, the President will meet a number of German officials, including German Chancellor “Olaf Schulz”, to discuss ways to improve bilateral relations at all levels, as part of the two countries’ desire to strengthen cooperation and pursue intensive consultations on matters of common interest.
