TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – A delegation of Swedish parliamentarians will arrive in Taiwan on Sunday (April 10) for a five-day trip, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) announced Thursday (April 7).

The group, including Vice-President Kerstin Lundgren and political advisers from the European Parliament, will be led by Boriana Aberg, a member of the Swedish-Taiwanese Parliamentary Association, and Charlie Weimers, a Swedish member of the European Parliament, according to a press release from the MOFA.

Swedish politicians will meet President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文), Prime Minister Su Tseng-chang (蘇貞昌), Speaker of the Legislative Assembly You Si-kun (游錫堃), Foreign Minister Joseph Wu (吳釗燮), Cabinet spokesperson Lo Ping-cheng. during their visit. They will attend two banquets, one hosted by You and the other hosted by Wu.

The delegation will also discuss with Taiwanese defense and national security experts, meet with representatives of Swedish companies, students and expatriates in Taiwan, and visit cultural sites.
